Since her incorporation in our team, she has participated in national and international congress, and conferences; as well as teaching courses about ASF in different parts of the world.
Her current work is dedicated to epidemiological analysis, modeling and analyzing the risk of ASF introduction in the European Union, as well as analyzing the possible risk factors of entry, spread and endemicity. Since he joined the group as a PhD student in September 2009, he is involved in the area of laboratory and epidemiology, in the context of the project FAU2008-00004-C03-02 ("Molecular epidemiology, field epidemiology and biogeographic risk factors associated with the sanitary interactions between wild and domestic ungulates").
His research deals with the sanitary and epidemiological follow-up through the diagnosis of pathogens responsible for infectious diseases chosen as markers of contact occurred between domestic livestock and wildlife.
He is also participating in the application of infrared thermography as a diagnostic method in veterinary medicine.
