PHD Students

Deborah Kukielka Zunzunegui

She is graduated in Veterinary Sciences ( 2000-2005) from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She is currently in her third PhD year in Veterinary Sciences.

Her investigation lines are based in the molecular study of the ARN virus, specifically the Swine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome virus (PRRS) and diverse bee viruses.

Her work focuses in the development and optimization of molecular diagnostic techniques based on SYBR GREEN. She has published an article (see group publications).
 

Mª del Carmen Bulboa Cortés

She is a graduated in Veterinary Sciences (2000-2005) from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She is currently in her third PhD year in Veterinary Sciences.

At the time she is on a scholarship (pre-doctoral scholarship) and works in the department of Animal Health at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with Professor Jose Manuel Sanchez-Vizcaino who is co-director, together with Professor Victor Briones Dieste, in the doctoral thesis she is preparing.

Her investigation field is the analysis of risk in the entrance of infectious diseases in Spain, specifically the pathogenic agents that affect bees.

Since her incorporation to our team, she has participated in national and international conventions, seminaries and conferences.
 

Ana Cristina Pérez de Diego Camacho

She was born in Palencia in 1984. She received her Veterinary Sciences degree in June 2007 at the Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio, with the best grades of her class. From September of the same year she is part of our team.

She is currently attending her first PhD year corresponding to the teaching period and collaborates in adapting Infrared Thermography as a diagnostic method in animal diseases. She also collaborates in the European project “Improved vaccine for Bluetongue disease”.
