SUAT research team signed the first twinning agreement between OIE certified laboratories.
On April 1, 2011 began the agreement between the research group led by Prof. JM Sanchez-Vizcaino (reference laboratory of the OIE for African Swine Fever and African Horse Sickness) and the NationalVeterinary Research Institute for Virology and Microbiology (NRIVVaM) in Russia.
This twinning project will seek to improve the diagnostic capabilities of NRIVVaM in African Swine Fever at a level comparable to the standards of the OIE RL.
From the 5th to 7th of May the Spanish Association of Equine Veterinary Specialists organized the Annual AEVEE Congress 2011 in Segovia. Professor José Manuel Sánchez-Vizcaíno participated with the oral comunication: "Present situation of West Nile Virus", sponsored by Pfizer .
